Problem with switching PBO to advanced

So, i'm trying to undervolt my ryzen 5 5800x. Here is the problem: I enter BIOS, I switch my PBO to advanced, I save the OC profile, I save the settings, I restart the BIOS and.. it's back on auto. It's really driving me mad, so any advice appreciated.

My MB is MSI B550-A PRO, The BIOS version is A.50, 01.15.2021

First and foremost, why do you feel the need to reduce the required voltage to the CPU, you have nothing to gain by doing so and in fact will either reduce the performance of the CPU and/or break something.

Thanks for the answer. It is a well known fact, that in the case of Ryzen 7 5800x reducing voltage decreases temparatures while actually slightly improving performance. While I don't care about perfomance boost, reducing the temperature is always sth to look for, especially for 5800x, that runs slightly hot.

Sorry but AMD invest millions into research and people should take their guidance before anyone else's, after all it is AMD who you would try and claim any warranty from and not some guy who posts video's online.

It is far better, safer (and likely to cost less in the long run) to improve internal cooling than to start messing with CPU voltages.

With all due respect, I did't really post here to discuss AMD's policy, I'm having a particular problem with saving BIOS setting, and I would appreciate a feedback on that matter. (My cpu coller is more then efficient - Be Quiet dark rock pro 4)

The advice was and still is not to mess with what you don`t understand, you can take or ignore the advice as you see fit, no one at PCHF will be so reckless as to help someone to go against manufacturers specifications.
