Solved Problem with SARA Raid or Raid Not, Hard Drives Not Showing Up

Hi there all, I just got a new rig, I also got a 4 port PCI-e SATA card, I'm running 9 hard drives and an optical drive through that and the 6 SATA connectors on the motherboard.
Now here's the problem, not all the hard drives are showing up in Windows 10 (all updated to latest release, Windows and the card driver {I think, it didn't come too flush with instructions or drivers})
So, I decided to take things into my own hands and go into the BIOS and switched everything to raid, thinking this would make everything show up, it did nothing at all.
So I went into the RAID configure utility before you boot into Windows and decided to delete the array, as it was doing nothing, and re-create it, now I have even less hard drives showing up in Windows...
Can anyone help me with this problem?
I am a bit out of my depth in this regard, not my area of expertise at all.

Welcome to PCHF RaisedFist,

Best course of action here would be to start from scratch and restore the MBs default factory settings in the BIOS, check for and use a restore point that is before you made these changes or alternatively do a Windows refresh (the option that lets you keep your files etc), the steps for the latter two can be found here

Let us know how you get on.

Hey, thanks for the reply, so what I did was reset the motherboard with the reset jumpers in the actual motherboard, then I reinstalled Windows 10 as a fresh install as I only installed it 2 days ago.
And have a look at the pics attached, the one shows I get during boot up from the PCI-e SATA card, but only shows 3 hard drives, not 4, and the other shows the PCI-e card is being recognized and the drivers are stable.
I'm having a thought that maybe it's the SATA ports on the actual motherboard that could be off?
I don't know, I'm really confused and I have no idea how to troubleshoot this!

The adaptor could be faulty or perhaps the drive itself is flaky, have you tried swapping the missing drive to one of the other SATA ports and likewise connect one of the ones that is being recognised atm, at least by doing this you should be able to rule one or the other out as the cause.

Can you post an expanded screenshot of Disk Manager for us;

Access Disk Management via Run.

Press the Windows+R keys to open Run, type diskmgmt.msc in the empty box then press OK.

HEy, on running Disk Management I found my problem, apparently Windows decided that partitioning my 4tb drive and another couple of other drives into an unreadable paperweight was a good idea...
:mad:
SO now I have to free up space on other drives so I can recover the data off the effective drives, colour me not very impressed...
Thanks for all your help though, I should have checked Disk Management first, Occum's Razor and all that, but I truly thought it was a driver or RAID issue, silly me...
Big rookie mistake, sorry
