Please provide information about your computer, is it a custom build or brand name such as Dell or HP, if a brand name, provide the model name or series number, we also need to know what version of Windows you are running, 7, 8.1 or 10.

Couple of questions and a task for you to do for us;
Is it a new drive.
How have you tried to initialise the device.
Can you open Disk Manager to full screen then grab a screenshot and upload it for us, the steps are below and can I ask that you please follow them to get us what we need.
Access Disk Management via Run.
Press the Windows+R keys to open Run, type diskmgmt.msc in the empty box then press OK.
To capture and post a screenshot;
Click on the ALT key + PRT SCR key..its on the top row..right hand side..now click on start...all programs...accessories...paint....left click in the white area ...press CTRL + V...click on file...click on save...save it to your desktop...name it something related to the screen your capturing... BE SURE TO SAVE IT AS A .JPG ...otherwise it may be to big to upload... after typing in any response you have... click on Upload a File to add the screenshot.

Whoa I can't initializeIf you were to initialise the drive you would lose all data on it.
Couple of questions;
If you right click on the drive does it give you the option to allocate the drive a letter.
Is the drive connected to a USB 2.0 port (black) or a USB 3.0 port (blue)
Have you tried connecting the drive to another computer.
Can I ask that you do not quote every reply, it really does not help any and just makes for unnecessary reading, thanks.
