PC won’t boot past the ASUS logo after a BIOS update

I updated my ASUS PRIME B450M-A’s bios successfully but after turning it off at the switch, it was stuck on the ASUS logo when I turned it back on. After hours of restarting, power cycling and refreshing the CMOS it booted into the BIOS and I got into Windows 10. From there, I thought I had fixed the issue but when I went to turn it off at the switch and turn it back on, I had the same issue. This time, I’ve been trying to get into Windows for over a day now. It says to press F2 or DEL to access the BIOS but nothing is working. Is there anything I can do or will I have to get my PC repaired?

CPU: Ryzen 5 2600
GPU: GTX 1650 SUPER
PSU: A Silverstone 450W one (not sure which one exactly)
RAM: x1 8gb G.SKILL Ripjaws V DDR4 3200 Memory
MOBO: ASUS PRIME B450M-A
SSD: 450gb (unsure what brand/model)
OS: Windows 10 Home

in case you haven't already gone down this path.....

is there a method to reset the BIOS back to factory settings. either from a motherboard jumper, or a utility on a USB stick from the ASUS website?
have you tried flashing the BIOS back to the previous firmware version?
during the upgrade, were you offered a chance to back up the current firmware, and if so, did you?

just to double check, when you are offered the chance to press Del or F2, you aren't just pressing it once or a lazy few strokes now and then, but rather like a demon possessed hell bent on total domination? :)

Hi, I don’t think my motherboard supports the flashback feature and there’s no way for me to access the bios so I can’t downgrade it. And yes, I am spamming the hell out of my DEL and F2 buttons when I’m offered the chance to aha

go to the ASUS website and download your motherboard manual and check what options are available to reset the BIOS if possible.

have you tried flashing the BIOS again with the same version on that USB stick?
fingers crossed it boots from USB first in the boot order!

also have you checked the website and downloaded a previous version onto a USB stick?

From where?
What version?
Why?
How was the install media created?
I updated it from the ASUS website

I’m pretty sure the version is 4002

I updated it because my PC was having several issues regarding Microsoft store apps and updating windows so after trying all the solutions I could find online, I came to the conclusion that my BIOS might just need to be updated.

The install media was created via a USB stick

Also I was on BIOS version 2006 before the update

I don’t have access to any other computer to download an older version of BIOS sadly and I wouldn’t be able to do anything with it anyways since I can’t access the BIOS to update it.

I also checked the BIOS manual and tried clearing the CMOS and resetting the motherboard to default value which didn’t solve my issue

Take it then that you did not from page 4 according to the BISO manual.

Do you know of someone and or a tech shop that can create a new BIOS install media for you.

There is a possibility that something went wrong during the update and has bricked the system.

Was the USB drive NTSF or eXFat format?
