Solved PC locking up

There are some errors pertaining to svchost.exe but that could be any number of items. So download process explorer and keep an eye on your processes and see which one starts to chew ram or high cpu usage.


You could also go ahead and set the machine for a clean boot but not reboot, let it crash and the next time it restarts after a crash it wil be in a clean boot state.

How do I "set the machine for a clean boot but not reboot"?

I sorted by CPU on the above snapshot

I sorted by process on the above snapshot and did not open the svhost submenu you see there. Maybe that is the one you mentioned earlier?
 
I’m going to put this thread on pause for a bit. You should post a new thread in the windows area, since this is no longer related to malware. Just include a link to this thread. 👍

I need some other eyes on this and it’s the best way to do so.
