Pc keeps turning off after like (10-15?) minutes of use

Pc turns off after around 10-15 min. Everytime I turn on my pc, it turns off after like 15 minutes of me using it and right when it turns off the LED lights flash for like 1 second. And when I try to turn it back on it doesn’t turn on except for when I take out the power cable and plug it back in. I thought the problem was the dust at first so I cleaned it at all out and still it’s doing this. I even switched the power cables, that didn’t work. Also tried out different outlets but that didn’t work too. I heard that disabling your c-state could be a fix and I did that yet it still turns off. A friend told me the power supply might be the issue so I’m going to buy a new one but I jus wanna be sure so I don’t waste money

it does sound like a temperature thing to me.
did you also clean out the fan blades, intake and exhaust ports, heatsinks and remove the front grill and cleaned everything with a soft bristled brush.

how old is the PC, what about replacing the thermal paste on the processor?

an air-compressor or those cans of compressed air will also be helpful.

Thanks man. And yeah I pretty much cleaned most of it, the pcs like 4-5 years old. And I haven’t replaced the thermal paste so I’ll try that.

Is the computer a custom build or brand name such as Dell or HP, if a brand name, provide the model name or series number (not serial) if a custom build post the brand and model name or number for the CPU, MB, the RAM ( including the amount and speed ) add on video card if one is used and the PSU (power supply unit) providing these details will enable folk to better help you.

My bad, I didn’t even think of that. It’s a custom build I bought. CPU is a intel core i7 960 @3.20GHz 3.20. There’s 12 gb of ram and I have a GeForce 1060. The PSU’s a Corsair cx600.
