Solved OCCT CPU test - black screen

I upgraded my PC recently, changing my Graphics card from a NVIDIA GTX 1050TI to a MSI XT 6650; to complete this gpu installation I reset my PC and after that this problem started to happen: it consists of my computer simply going into a black screen at random times while I'm using it, my monitor goes black like the PC shutted down but the tower and all my hardware inside remains on and running, like the monitor never even went black at all. It happened about 10 seconds after I turn my computer on and some apps start opening, when trying to open a game and mid-way when I'm playing a game... Whenever that happens, I press my power button from the tower for 5 seconds so my computer completely shuts off; and yes, I have tried to wait to see if anything in the monitor shows up back again after some time but nothing. I have even reseted my PC because I thought it was some game optimization in regedit I done or even overclocking but nothing seems to work. I also tried to check Event Viewer but it just says: "Event ID 41 - The system has rebooted without cleanly shutting down first."

I then downloaded OCCT to run some tests and check what component was making the computer to "shut off". I first ran the power stability test and the screen went black instantly after i clicked the start button. After that I was 99% sure it was the PSU, then I went ahead and bought a completely new one to test out and see (Gigabyte UD750GM) and tested again, the test ran for about 5 seconds and the screen went black again. After that I went ahead and tested different components, I ran the GPU test first and everything worked fine, I ran the memory test after that and everything worked fine, but when I ran the CPU test, the computer's screen went black. So does that mean the problem is the CPU? And if it is, how would I fix it if there is a fix?

Hey, so before I reset the pc I had uninstalled all the display drivers using that exact uninstaller you sent it to me, so unfortunately it did not work .

I also got some updates; I took one of my Ram sticks out the motherboard to test (because I have an odd number of ram sticks) and the OCCT CPU test worked perfectly, it ran for a long time and everything seemed fine and solved. However, when I was trying to open a game, the problem appeared back again and the screen went black. I then turned my PC off by holding the button for five seconds, went into OCCT and ran the power test this time, and the screen went black instantly after I pressed the green start button... So the tests that went through and were positive was for the CPU, GPU and MEMORY, the POWER test "turned my pc off" instantly.

Just to mention that I ran those tests without having a fully reset computer, I done some gaming optimizations in windows like putting the computer "High performance power plan mode" and others ( I'm just saying that because I'm not too sure how badly that can affect the tests )

What I'm thinking is that the problem might be the motherboard... I think this because every test but the power test works, and the power test puts load on the CPU ( which the individual stress test for it went positive ), GPU ( which the individual test for it also went positive ), PSU ( which is completely new so I don't think there is any problem with it ) and the Motherboard ( which is the one left out from all of the working components ).

Please forget about the two last threads as I did some more testing right now and everything seems to be the same as it was when I posted the first thread . I ran the CPU test once again and the black screen came up after 15 seconds... So only the GPU and MEMORY are the components which are giving positive results and passing the tests, CPU and POWER are still giving black screen.

Also, I changed the power plan to balanced but unfortunately nothing changed, still crashed with black screen...

Hey, I don’t have another user to test it on the system, but I can create one if really needed.

Just tried the clean boot by following every step on the link you sent, opened OCCT, ran the power test and after 8 seconds the black screen came up once again.

Ram are taking up the first and second slot.

Placed the Ram on A2 and B2 and tried to open a game I was always having trouble to open it due to this problem and no good news, black screen.

I just freed some space by uninstalling one of the games I had installed in Disk C and also removed the restore point. Now instead 29GB of free space I have 67GB - tried to open the same game, it started, ran for less than 10 seconds and crashed again, black screen.

Something to notice, everytime the screen goes black after crashing the LED light of my botherboard lights up an orange light - maybe something to do with ram?

Heyy, good news!! Problem fixed ✅. First of all I want to thank you very much because this problem was really taking up a lot of time from the past 2 weeks...

It all got fixed after the CMOS clear, the different monitor still gave the black screen, as well as the different cables, the downgraded version of GPU and other resolution.

Ran the tests and opened the game, which were the two main things I was having this problem on.
