Solved Nvme swap, Os still seeing old nvme

Hi. I have a Dell R320 that has been running a 512gb NVME as storage using a very basic pcie adaptor.
My old gaming pc died months ago which had a 2tb nvme in it. I forgot what was all on that NVME so i wanted to swap out the servers NVME with the old pc's one. However when i swapped them out, Windows on the server still reads it as the old 512gb nvme as being installed with the same file structure just nothing is openable. when i go into partition manager it still reads as the 512 being installed. Any idea how i can get it to update to detect its been swapped with a 2tb?
thanks

Being that the R320 is a rack server, it is probably setup in RAID format.
I assume the R320 has Windows Server running and the gaming laptop had Win7 or Win10?
Is the PCIe adapter compatible with the 2TB NVMe?

Have you gone into the R320's BIOS and seen what it detects the NVMe as?
