Non-booting PC

Connects to the Internet ok. All seems well. Not yet checked the two removed drives, the one claimed to be physically dead but clearly wasn't before all this as some of the PC programmes are now moaning they can't find files/drive, and the original system disk which I'm told changes the BIOS settings to ensure only it boots ?!?

I've deduced that at least some of problem seems to have been that the main monitor changed it's setting inexplicably to be looking at the HDMI source not the DVI source. Thus, presumably, the blank screen and inability to get further. It never occurred to me that it could change itself, and the second monitor remaining black misdirected me. I didn't recall what connection was being used anyway, I didn't think I needed to, and unfortunately no one suggested checking it may have changed. Probably would have allowed me to check further rather than spend getting someone else to check things, had it occurred to anyone. Still, got the thing sorted. And I'll know next time.

Unsure this needs to remain open. Unsure when I'll get around to checking the drives. Cheers.
