Solved No VGA Signal Detected help

Hi there, I have a question that I'm struggling to sort.
My PC seems to be having an issue where I turn it on and I get no signal to my monitor. It takes about 10-15 restarts to get it working and I don't know why!
My specs are:
Intel Core i5 4690-K 3.5ghz
12GB DDR 3 RAM
A Radeon R9 280 3GB Graphics card with a VGA adapter
ASUS H-97 Pro Gamer motherboard
Windows 10 64bit
Any help would be much appreciated as it's getting frustrating turning on and off my PC 15+ times in a row to get it working.
I built the PC myself and have had it for a couple of years now, but it's only been the past year it's done this and it's getting extremely annoying.

May need some expert help here, but some basic things to try first.

Remove and reseat your graphics card and power connector
Try another video cable preferably without the adater
Try another monitor

Can we have the brand and model name or number of R9 video card (ASUS, Gigabyte etc) and as already asked the the PSU.

What I would suggest you try to begin with is to remove the add on video card and try using one of the video ports on the MB to see if the same issue still happens, while inside the case, check that all connections are secure, remove and reseat the RAM and have a clean out of any heat trapping dust.

Hi there,

It’s a Gigabyte R9 280 Card and my PSU is an EVGA 600w bronze power supply.

I’ve tried the onboard graphics and they work fine so it’s not my monitor, and as I said, after a fair few resets it works fine. Sometimes it comes on straight away.

Could it be the power supply?

Thanks for letting us know. As an experiment you could put it back in the original slot (called reseating) and test that?
