No AMD graphics driver is installed message, using an nvidia card

Hi Stevenh3, Welcome to PCHF! :)

Lets see what is starting up with your machine.

Please download Autoruns. After you download the zipped folder on your desktop, right click the zipped folder and click Extract All. After the folder has been extracted open the regular folder. Run the autoruns.exe program by right clicking on it and selecting Run as administrator. When you open the program, click the Logon Tab and then post a screenshot of all the startup entries on the Logon Tab in your next reply.

Thanks, this is my autoruns. I should add that my pc also has trouble coming out of sleep mode. The lights come on for a few seconds, go off then come on again and I'm back at the login screen. I think it tries to come out of sleep, fails, and then restarts. I tried to fix this by disabling hybrid sleep and fast startup but it hasn't worked.
 
If you don't need OneDrive, you can remove it from startup.

Click Start< type services.msc and hit enter. Once the services window opens, set the AMD External Events Utility service and any other AMD services to disabled for the startup type.

Once done, click Start< type in Task Scheduler and hit enter to open the Task Scheduler.

In the left hand side click on the Task Scheduler Library and right click on all the AMD tasks in that pane and set them to disabled. Then reboot your computer for those changes to take effect.
 
Thank you, I don't seem to have AMD External Events Utility, just AMD user experience program launcher, but I've done everything else and I'll see if it works. Unfortunately I have a worse problem now, after closing a game I get GPU spikes to 100 pretty much constantly for 15-20 minutes, making the PC almost unusable. the game itself runs fine, the problems start when it closes. It wasn't a very demanding game (MTG arena) and I'm starting to worry that between all these problems I was sold a bag PC.
 
The error still pops up after restart, but I notice that AMD Linkupdate does not stay disabled in the task scheduler, after restart it goes back to ready.
 
You need to make sure all AMD tasks in Task Scheduler along with all AMD services are disabled in the Services window as well. So disable that AMD user experience program service.

If the error still comes up after rebooting the computer, please attach screenshots of the Everything tab in Autoruns so I can look through the screenshots.
 
I found an AMD services program that gave the same error when I tried to run it, so I uninstalled it and the message has gone away. I still have the other problems though.
 
Alright, I finally got through to tech support and they had me uninstall and reinstall drivers and switch to high performance power mode. Things seem to be a lot better now, but if the problems come back I might need to replace either the graphics card or the power supply. I guess this PC had AMD drivers for some reason?
 
Couple of questions if I may;

What is the brand and model name or number of the PSU.

What particular issues are you now having.

I finally got through to tech support and they had me uninstall and reinstall drivers and switch to high performance power mode.
Suggesting you use High Performance is bad advice as High Performance is a form of overclocking that is known to cause stability and overheating issues in desktops and it should only be used for gaming type notebooks that have a discreet video chip that needs the extra juice.

I guess this PC had AMD drivers for some reason?
Being an AMD platform the MB needs AMD drivers and primarily for the chipset, the problem in this instance is that the drivers from ASRock are rolled up into an all in one package that includes the VGA drivers for CPUs that have integrated graphics which is something that your CPU does not have.
