Solved new PC: WOL not working, WoWLAN is working

Hi. I've just purchased a Geekom Mini IT8 with Intel Ethernet Connection I219-V (btw Wireless is working fine for waking the PC).

Under the "Advanced" tab, there was no "Wake on Magic Packet" etc. , but after updating the driver I had "Wake on Magic Packet" & "Wake on Pattern Match", both set to Enabled.

Under "Power Management" all 3 boxes are ticked, as usual.

There seems to be no power options in the Aptio BIOS.

Ethernet cable is fine, and it wakes up another PC just fine. An orange light is blinking at the ethernet connection.

I've been using WOL on many different PCs for about 12 years, but I'm stumped by this. As I was saying, WoWLAN works fine via the Wireless card.

I use a Wake On LAN app on my Android phone to send magic packets, and both the Ethernet & Wireless devices are stored on the app.

I had mentioned that I couldn't find any power options in the bios, and this seemed to be confirmed by what I found on the internet. Plus I thought that WOL is usually enabled by default, and I thought that any setting in the bios would apply to both WOL and WoWLAN.

HOWEVER!!!

I checked the bios again and I found that:

Chipset -> PCH-IO Configuration

contains WOL option, and was set to "Disabled".

It's now working fine!!
