Its done this twice now in the last half hour and it stops in about the same place

Sorry for all the messages. After i checked for updates i clicked out of the stuck screen and went to try another scan and this screen came up saying the scan is done with 332660 files scanned and no threats found

It did the same thing just now. I started a new scan after the update and it stopped at 66605 files scanned and was stuck but when i clicked out of it and went back in it says the scan was run and no threats found at 318pm

Here is the screen saying the scan is done. also, a notification on the bottom right popped up saying the scan was done and no threats found. Is it still running even though the screeb shows stuck?

Scanning for viruses usually maxes out your CPU and creates more work for itself as you do it- if you let the scan continue will it ever jump to finished? How long do you let it sit on the place it gets "stuck."

I say "stuck" in quotes because I want to know what that means to you, what happens and what do you do?

It was at least an hour that i waited the first time and it never moved but said it was finished when i X'ed out and started over. What i do is click out of the stuck scan and start a new one but as the screens above show when i start a new one it says the last one finished

Why are you forcing a scan to run.
It should be taking care of things by itself in the background.
You could try a scan in safe mode and see what happens.
I only force a scan on a particular file/folder that I have downloaded from the internet if I have doubts about the file.
Otherwise I let it take care of itself.
