Monitor input not switching from HDMI to DP (switching between computers)

Switching between work and personal computer. I have 2 monitors. The one with 2 HDMI cables switches fine. The second monitor, which only has options for one HDMI and one DP, will not switch over to my DP (work computer). The work computer and monitors are connected to a docking station.

Set up (if it helps):
LG Monitor (Both HDMI)
Lenovo Monitor (HDMI & DP)
Work laptop > monitors and laptop connected to docking station
Home PC > monitors connected directly

I've gotten it to work before. I used to be able to disconnect the HDMI every time, that worked. I also used to turn of the home PC, worked. Then all of a sudden I was able to switch inputs without removing HDMI cable. Now neither option works. I have switched out the DP cable already.
