I recently upgraded my i3 6100 to i5 11400F, but when i opened msconfig to enable the cores only four of them were selectable. I then did some searching on bios to see if there was a setting for cpu cores(Gigabyte H510 mb) and found it set to 6 cores, but the problem remains unsolved. any suggestions?

Since you have Utorrent installed, there is possible malware on the machine. If you wish, post a new thread in the malware area, I can make sure there is no malware on the machine, if there is it can be removed.

Click the link below to start a new malware thread, if not no big deal that is your choice.

I thought I had replied to this, maybe it was lost in the recent server updates.

what didn't work?
you couldn't find the right BIOS update, or you started the flash process but got an error, or it all worked OK and updated the BIOS but that hasn't helped with your issue?
