I have been using different versions of Microsoft Outlook for many years. I like it but it is very slow. I do have about 100 plus Folders, and probably over 1000 emails save. I tried Unsubscribing to over 70% of the folders but it made no difference. However, if I use the email client from my internet provider, the emails come in and go out in an instant. Using Microsoft Outlook can take 30 seconds. Any suggestions ? Thanks, Mike

Solved Microsoft Outlook 2021 very slow

Are you talking about going through the web browser or a specific program?
Do you have Outlook sorting the emails into the different folders?
The more rules that are in places will cause a slowdown while it goes through the process. Especially if you add more and not just update and or streamline the process.
Have you double check to make sure that the service provider did not make, and configuration needed changes for your email?

I have had to remove the account configuration sometimes the reenter in the information just to get it working correctly again.
Some you can just enter in the username and password and it autoconfigures correctly others you may have to do some tweaking.
You email still show on the web-based email, correct?
If yes, then delete the configuration and recreate it.
One other thing that you can also try is create a new user on the system and then log into the computer with that user and create the email account and see if that works correctly.

Rustys, Thanks for the replies, but I will just live with it for now. I have had this issue with several different versions of Microsoft Office going back to 2003. The wifes computer has the same issue. The internet provided email service is very fast, Microsoft Office 2021 extremely slow.
Not a problem.
The only other slow down cause that it could be is the security software for Malware and Anti-Virus could be the culprit. Which will scan the incoming emails prior to them being allowed to be seen.
Not to forget the firewall depending how it is configured as well.
