Lines on Screen

Anybody know what's going on with my monitor or PC? I have these flickering vertical lines everywhere. Ive tried restarting, unplugging the monitor, and just about everything. Sometimes after a restart, or just randomly, they will go away. Also sometimes in full screen applications the lines go away. If anyone knows how to fix this that be great, its so annoying!

take out the graphics card and wipe the circuitry and the mobo slot with a soft bristled brush.
if you could get your hands on another card (neighbour, friend, family, work) before forking out for a new one, that would be a good test of the theory the card has failed.

Alright, thanks for the advice mate! I really hope that it isn’t the graphics card

it doesn't even need to be a good card, just anything to prove the point.
if the mobo has onboard video ports (and the CPU allows it) even try plugging the screen in those.
that will eliminate the screen and cables as potential causes.

Welp... just tried it with a mac, and the monitor does the same thing. I also unplugged the monitor from any pc and pulled up the menu and it was still doing it, so I think it must be the monitor. R.I.P
