I9 14900kf performance cores

Hi people I recently ordered a prebuilt pc from NZXT and I have a i9 14900kf cpu, I was having issues with launching games and playing games i kept getting out of video memory error and crashes like crazy, I RMA the pc and they installed a new cpu 3 weeks later all my problems returned, so I seen a forum saying turn the performance cores down to 54 from 57 and the crashes magically disappeared, so does that mean both cpus are defective or is this just a issue with the 14900kf ?

My guess would be that the graphics processor in your computer isn't up to the requirements of the games you play. What is it? If it depends on the i9 14900KF (which has no integrated graphics due to the "F"), you probably should add a dedicated graphics processor. A relatively inexpensive "entry-level" graphics processor would be something like my AMD RX 6400... small, and only uses 53 watts. Cost is around $160. If you already have a DGPU, what is it? Maybe its graphics driver needs updating.

I have a msi 4090 trio i have ran many benchmarks with the GPU and it seems to be fine like i say as soon as i changed the performance cores on the cpu i have had no issues, but since i payed so much for the pc i would like to know if that means its defective or if that is normal.

Also i have reinstalled windows and fresh drivers i went through a full list of fixes with no luck until i changed the performance cores.

Is this the clock multiplier?

You are probably exceeding this: Performance core maximum turbo clock frequency 5.6GHz at 57.
Which then precipitates exceeding this: Max. operating temperature100°C
Which further precipitates your issues.
I downloaded extreme tuning utility from intel and just changed the performance cores down it says performance core ratio, the base cpu comes at 57 p cores since I never tried to overclock it and I always keep a eye on the temps, they never go over 60c and I’d say 80 percent of my crashes where just trying to boot up the game with out of video memory error like when it’s trying to load all the shaders and stuff.

Thanks for the answer. That 4090 should not be out of anything.

What games does this happen?
Yeh its really been confusing me tbh, i seem to have the issue with Hogwarts and Robo cop they always start getting the out of video memory error first then it seems to progressively get worse and starts effecting other games like call of duty and red dead, cod will start getting directx errors upon start up while red dead my textures start bugging out and it crashes over and over again.

Since i changed the p cores all this has gone away also if i bring the p cores down to say 55 it works perfect on most my games except red dead where i will still get out of video memory error until i bring the p cores down to 54 so it definitely seems related to the CPU for some reason, when i sent it back to NZXT they just replaced the CPU and said it should be fine.
