I don really know, I just know that nowadays I have 8gb left in my disk C so I need more space coz I know that if you don't have space in Disk C your computer might be slower

You dont say what operating system you are using, but will assume it's Windows 10.

Yes 8GB is not enough free space, you need more to allow windows to update and to prevent file corruption and or security protection.

Buy the largest SSD you can afford because a SSD with lots of free space will last a lot longer than one with less free space. This is due to sharing the read/write activity across a larger amount of free memory on the drive. As you know SSD's don't last forever and "wear out" after so many read/write cycles, so the more free space the longer it will last.

Also buy a name brand SSD and you should be good to go.

M.2 drives are called SSD's, which they are. They look like this and they usually fasten and connect directly to the motherboard.

But the older conventional SSD's are like this and are all the same dimensions or physical size
