hp elitebook 840 g6 not charging and turning on

It breaking the way that it did is unusual as are the test results which suggest that either the CPU socket is getting no power to it or that the CPU itself has failed, the latter would normally only be caused by getting too much voltage or overheating neither of which you appear to have encountered.

Would be interested to hear what is found.

Sorry, I didn’t see the second page. Yeah, I can’t figure out why is just dropped dead.
 
Sorry to waste everyone’s time, I think it would be best to close the forum. I don’t have enough time to deal with the laptop and I plan on selling it for parts. Thank you for your help.
