Hello everyone,
Short Background: Updated the bios, decided to switch the two display ports while it was updating (silly now I think of it, but I'm impatient) but the display did not return after switching them. Waited 30 minutes until I thought the bios was updated (screen wasn't on so wanted to make sure it was installed) The CPU light on the motherboard is a still red. There is no display on either of my monitors using a display port (DP) and a HDMI cable.
Long Background: I have had my computer for a couple years or so now. I built it myself and have had no problems with it until now. I was having problems with a game, and while updating everything I decided to update the bios, since it wouldn't have been done since I built the computer. Downloaded the bios update onto a USB and then ran it from the bios. As it was running, I decided to switch the two DP on the back. As I did this the display did not return, and I didn't want to interrupt the bios update in the background. I left it for 30 minutes, thinking it was adequate enough time for the bios to update and then restarted my computer. On launch, however, the CPU indicator on the motherboard was a still red, and there was no display on my monitors. I have tried restarting and the same problem.
The computer restarts itself after a minute or so when turning on. Fans all start, then it will shut down and restart automatically but nothing changes on the display. All fans turn on, this includes the cooler fans, my GPU fans and the fans installed individually on the case. RGB works for the RAM, cooler, sound card but no RGB showing on GPU or MB.
Having now spent a while, and unable to find any problems I'm all out of ideas, and I have tried scouring the Internet but nothing that has helped me as of late.
Specifications:
CPU: I7-10700k
Cooler: Corsair H100i
RAM: Corsair 32GB 3200MHz DDR4
MB: Gigabyte Z490 Aorus Pro AX
GPU: Gigabyte RTX 2070 Super
PSU: Corsair RM850i (850w)
What I've done:
Relaid the CPU, sprayed incase of any dust and reapplied thermal paste
Checked all pins
Reset the CMOS
Double checked all MB wires for CPU
Double checked all cooler wires
Replaced RAM, and checked both individually
Removed GPU and tried MB graphics
Removed GPU and tried different PCIe slot
Tried HDMI and DP cables
Tried two different montiors
All help is appreciated.
