Okay so i bought a 3060 but I keep getting a bsod at the same point through the driver install, I have tried now with 2 different 3060’s and I’m seriously at a loss here, did a ddu, before trying to install the driver, I downloaded a new motherboard bios, tried to download the driver through device manager, and it crashed, I don’t know what to do…

Specs
I7-7400
16 gb ddr4 2400 Corsair
Prime z270m-plus
3060 Ventus 3x
750w Corsair

You need to shut down your computer and clean the dust and or reapply the thermal paste before you do anything else. Before your computer catches on fire!! That temperature is absolutely unacceptable!!

Anything under 60 degrees C (140 degrees F) is perfect. Just above this temperature is okay, but as you creep above 70 degrees C (158 degrees F), you need to look at how to cool your PC down.

Make sure that everything is connected securely inside your machine.

Uninstall the following with GeekUninstaller.

NVIDIA Graphics Driver 527.56 - 527.56

Disable winodws update to ensure that it does not install a driver for the graphics card.

I know you said you did a DDU already, but do it again. Boot into Safe Mode and remove any remnants of the display driver.

Now reboot back into normal mode, then go here and get the lastest driver for your card. Let me know the outcome.

When i turn off Windows updates, the graphics card does not get a “temporary” driver from windows so when I try to download drivers from nvidia, it says that no nvidia gpu can be found, also does not show up in device manager

I would say yes, that would be the next logical step, perhaps there is an issue with the current one. I know you know, but make sure to power down the machine and unplug it first, or you will fry the card.

yeah, at this point im thinking there has to be some sort of hardware issue, the fact that it works with all other graphics card but not any 30 series is odd

Are you over clocking in the bios?
Have you installed any performance or OC software such as MSI Afterburner, AMDRyzenMaster. Intel's Extreme Tuning or Performance Maximizer, or CPU-Z? Even iCUE or other RGB hardware and/or software

I tried game ready drivers, the device manager drivers, the one without GeForce experience, it allways stops at about 35% freezing my system and the bsod… and then goes into a boot loop for like 3 minutes, then turns on again, but when it turns on again it has reverted to the state with no drivers…
