Solved GPU fan change

Not open for further replies.
Hi,
So my gpu fan started doing realy scary noises and i decided to change it but i tried to order a new one the same but the delivery is 1-2 months. And i bought a new one and idk how to "connected" with the radiator with zipties without touching the pcb of the GPU and also my fan was 0,35A and the new one is 0,11A is that e problem.
Any solutions and sorry for my english.

if the new one is only a month or two away, you only need to jerry-rig something up until then.
is this a desktop or laptop?

if desktop, you could just take off the side cover and point a fan onto the GPU - that's all the GPU's fan is doing - dissipating heat stored in the heatsink.
you could even just get a chassis fan, connect it to any FAN header on the motherboard and sit it under the heatsink supported by some Lego bricks or similar.

if laptop, maybe one of those active cooling pads that have an inbuilt fan power by a cable to a USB port.

point is, you only need something quick and cheap that a) does the job of pushing air around and b) only needs to last a few weeks.
