GPU Backplate cooling?

I was thinking of putting a cpu fan cooler, thermal pads, and copper plating along the core and VRM of my 1080 ti. Does anyone know if this actually affects the overall temps of the GPU or not much to really bother with?

I own a 1080 ti hybrid from EVGA and while i love the card and its cooling, id love to give it a little boost. I dont much care for the overall looks as my case has no glass so its looking fugly in there but might as well give me one more reason never to get tempered glass for it.
