Hello everyone,
so I bought a new motherboard and a cpu, istalled by myself with a friend and we got some problems, we cant see the cpu tempture and we cant control the speed of the fans.
we downloaded Speccy and SpeedFan but we cant see the cpu there it does not recognize it.
the problem is that the fans are always in 1000 rpm (saw in bios) and its vey loud and annoying. even if im not doing anything...
I thought that maybe the bios version is not correct but its a new motherboard so I dont know...

can anyone help me with that?

CPU: i3 12100F
Motherboard: gigabyte h610m h

we downloaded Speccy and SpeedFan but we cant see the cpu there it does not recognize it.

Don`t rely on either, Speedfan has not been supported for years and a lot of MBs do not give Speccy full or accurate information.

Your MB has its own monitoring and fan speed control, to begin with the CPU temps can be checked in the BIOS and once the fan speeds controlled you can then look at another way of checking the CPU temps.

For controlling fan speeds you need the four pin type that has pwm (power management), is that what you have?

The below from your MBs specs;

H/W Monitoring
Voltage detection
Temperature detection
Fan speed detection

Overheating warning
Fan fail warning
Fan speed control
* Whether the fan speed control function is supported will depend on the cooler you install.

Edit to add: Can I just make sure that you have installed the chipset drivers and the Utilities for the MB from Gigabyte, they are on a disk provided with the MB when new or can be downloaded from their homepage for your board.

Well i checked with a lot of programs none of them sees the cpu for some reason. even not the name of it. the only way i could see cpu temp was in bios and it was 42 C. which is pretty much a lot for a liquid cooling..
about the connections of the fans yes i have 4 pins.
i got the disk with the MB but dont have CD drive. checked on the official site and downloaded everything

Ok, so in total I got 9 fans. i know that might sound a lot but I wanted to make sure the pc is as cool as possible.
3 are connected to the psu
2 are connected to the motherboard
4 are connected to the cpu with a splitter.
the cpu fans are radiator fans, since i got 2 on each side on the radiator.

i got only 2 fans with 4 pin connectors while all others are 3 pin.
so what do you think about that? i did wrong?

remember the forum is staffed be volunteers, and with it being the weekend having just past, I guess no-one made it onto your thread to offer suggestions.

first up, 9 fans is simply overkill.
for example, why the 2 fans on both sides of the radiator?
and have you checked their rotation - making sure one side is 'pushing' and the other side is 'pulling'?

have you tried cutting the fans down to bare basics and seeing if that helps.
you may have too many for the board to handle, and the way you have jumpered them to the mobo and used splitters means they may not be detectable.

can you see the temps from BIOS?

Of course, didnt mean of something bad. if no one knows whats wrong thats ok.
My previouse pc was over heating with 5 fans on it. so i dont know i guess i wanted it to be as cool as possible.
every fan is on its right rotation.
didnt try to disconnect any fans, but i may do that..

the problem is that the motherboard controls the fans in a weird way, cant explain exactly but the fans sometimes automaticlly starting to increase speed. up and down randomally. thats really annoying

as Phill stated in post #2, have you gone into BIOS and checked it's power profiles for the fans.
you should be able to tweak the thermal limits in there that tell the fans when to speed up and what RPM's will be involved.

Can't do it there, it doesn't let me.
There is a graph that changes the speed of the fans based on temperature as you said, but cant make it all at the same place at the graph..

hmmm... I thought you could, but yeah, I could be easily wrong.
attach a picture of that menu page and I'll see if anything looks familiar.
I've got a Gigabyte mobo as well so they should be pretty close.
