Solved FPS problems

Just completed
Have you followed the steps in post 19? Or at least tried to remove Mcafee?
Just finished all of the steps. I gave Warzone a quick test and it seems to be doing pretty good sitting around 140-150 FPS. I will give this a proper test this evening to see if it sustains. Thank you for the help. Fingers crossed that that work. Seems promising from the initial test.

I have noticed that where I am in the map makes a difference, and I try to keep that in mind. I just get frustrated when my friend who doesn’t have the set up i do is running many more FPS than I do. I’m trying so hard to read and watch as much stuff as I can to learn how to tune and tweak this thing. But in true PC fashion, every time I think I’m getting ahead, somthing els pops up. Lol. But I’m stubborn and I’m sure this blind squirrel will find it’s nut. Hahaha.

Are you versed in GPU clocking? If so what do you suggest for overclocking? And is there a good video or artical to read on how to do it? I feel like that may be my resolve for my FPS not being stable.

After playing again tonight, I started off strong in the 130FPS range and after about an hr I was struggling to get 105 spending most of my time in the 80-90 range. I can’t for the life of me figure out why.
There are so many components, who knows what it could be. You could always attempt the nuclear approach of freshly installing Windows to see if it is a software or hardware issue, but that is of course up to your discretion.

Not at all, I don't mess with overclocking, the stability that comes with a moderate clock is invaluable in my opinion, some of the other members may have suggestions. I highly doubt it's an underclocked GPU if this issue started recently unless you undid an overclock that was previously done.

Since this post it seems you have had some luck, I hope this resolves things completely! :)

Tuneing the CPU
The best way to do this is buy the parts
If you want ram to run at 3600
Buy a mb, cpu and ram that do this from the start.

It is like buying a V6 car and trying to make it run like a V8 not going to happen

I am interested to know how the water cooler goes

I love that analogy. Well versed in all things that have four wheels and goes vroom. Haha. I guess that’s what I’m going after now. I’m one of those people who like to know how things work and how o make them better. So all of this knowledge sharing that y’all are helping me with is awsome. I have thought about going ahead and upgrading my CPU to somthing a little better. I would love to get a Ryzen 7 5800x but I’m unsure how to know if that’s going to gain me the results that I would like. I mean I’m not pro or anything but I would be happy if I could get it to the point where I seen 130FPS consistently in Warzone.

As far as the water cooler goes it dropped my temps considerably. Went from 70-73 degrees to a constant 55 degrees. Sometimes 59 but only for a second or two. Also helped quiet down the system somehow. I know it’s not related but my GPU used to ramp up and get kinda loud but now it stays really quiet. Downside is I have to get a new case to fit it properly. I kinda had to rig it up to make it work. Still works tho, so ima let it ride. Lol

I see the option to download the Wave Browser

You should not have seen that option, with this installed you won’t see crap like that anymore.

👍

Right now your dns server is set to adblocking DNS,(the batch file changed that setting) which may or may not be the best for your machine.

You can run a DNS benchmark on your machine to figure out the best dns server, which can lower ping times and improve online gaming and web browsing.

Once you have ran the bench marker, then apply the best DNS, I suggest running it twice to ensure.

If you wind up not liking the setting, then here is Adblock dns.

You can set that on your router, to block ads across all of your devices in your home. It’s how I have mine set up at home.
