My PC has an 8GB Crucial Ballistick DDR3 DIMM installed, I would like to add another 8GB. The ASUS A88XM+ board has a spare slot and am told that it will recognise the upgrade.

My question is, does the new memory set need to be the same make and model, or will another brand be ok, obviously as long as its the same specs...?
