A few days ago I found a secondhand 4090/13900k PC build on facebook marketplace for a very good price and decided to pull the trigger. I was a little hesitant about getting scammed due to the low price and the hardware being sold, but I got it home and everything works as expected. The guy that sold it to me mentioned that he had previously played fortnite and that his account got hacked and banned. According to him he lost a lot of money when he lost the account, so he lost interest in gaming. When I heard him talk about the hacking and account loss it kind of made me feel funny, so I asked if he had ever play warzone and he said it he had a few times but not very much. I asked if his account was ever hacked or banned on COD and he responded "never". I was more concerned about receiving broken hardware at the time, so I kind of let the thoughts of the computer being HWID banned go. I got home and fired it up and reset the windows and installed battlenet/COD. As I was logging in a gut feeling told me to test it with another account, so I used my wife's account (Which she never uses). I played in 2-3 games for a total of 5 minutes running around the map to see what type of FPS I would get on the setup (I was super excited). I woke up this morning and worked on some tuning on the pc and check FPS again and I couldn't get into a game (Ping instantly went to >200). I then checked the Activision website, and it states the account is under review aka (shadowban). My wife hasn't used the account in about 9-10 months(Level 18 in game). The account has been under review for about 72 hours, so I can't appeal yet. I'm prepared to show any proof that they require to unban the computer/account, but based on reading other peoples experiences they may not be interested in helping me even with proof. I have bank/paypal with cpu purchase in the notes, and all correspondence to and from the previous owner.)
Also, I've never used ANY form of cheats and I've never had ANY type of ban. Now, I'm terrified to log into my own account on the new pc, so I have a super nice paperweight until I get this figured out. I'm thinking about ordering a new Motherboard, SSD, and RAM. Thoughts? I'm 1000000% legit and I don't want to lose my account because to previous owner was doing something shady. Any advice will be greatly appreciated. (Not that it matters, but I payed $2000 for a $4000+ build.)
(Also, I'm not intertested in spoofing or any other temp soulutions.)
