Hello,

First of all this issue has been there for a good time now, but getting worse, im now at the point when i even get freezes playing games like golf it, csgo, among us etc, witch never been a problem say 3months ago, heavier games was causing this then.

Problem is that the computer totally freezes and only reset are possible, screens and all stays on with current picture when this happens, and no sound, i have tried to monitor temps etc, but cannot see any issues there.

I have done some ram/hdd tests without errors.

posting a link from speccy http://speccy.piriform.com/results/ibhTQcTaAT5brw7o1kCK0v1

Make and model of the PSU?

I have done some ram/hdd tests without errors.
like what and what were the outcome?

The first thing I see is

Partition 1
Partition ID: Disk #2, Partition #1
Disk Letter: C:
File System: NTFS
Volume Serial Number: 9A99C135
Size: 111 GB
Used Space: 99 GB (89%)
Free Space: 11,3 GB (11%)

Windows requires 25-30% of the C drive to be free for updates and to work properly.

Hi and thanks for the replay!

My PSU are Corsair RM750x 750w
Just tested hdd and ram via windows built in tests, and was a while ago.

And for the disk part, this have been happening before i reached this usage, i actually tried to install a game on the C drive to see if that stopped the freezing but no

You have various issues going on but if you value your data you will heed the warning that Russ has given, see my canned info for as to why;

For Windows to be able to run efficiently and to be able to update, on a mechanical HDD you need to have between 20 and 25% of the partition or drive available as free storage space at all times and on an SSD between 10 and 20%, if you don`t you risk Windows becoming corrupt or not being able to update which also puts you at risk of malware attack.

Data only storage devices should not be allowed to get any lower than 10% of free storage space of the full capacity of the drive/partition on the drive, this also to avoid data corruption.

Please note that storage devices can physically fail if the amount of free storage space is allowed to drop below the required 10 or 20/25% minimum.

Uninstall as many unused programs, games, videos and music files as you can and get yourself another means of backing up to, when you have between 25 and 30% free storage on the C: drive/partition see if you are to update to the latest version of Windows 10 which is 20H2.

Thanks, i have now freed up plenty of spaces on all disks now and also installed the new update, could this be a major problem for this issue ? or do you see anything else ? i have been thinking that the PSU starting to fail on me

That PSU is good for ten years if treated right + it has more than enough output for your hardware, unlikely to be the cause.

Not hijacking the thread but if I were before going any further I would be wanting to see a new Speccy url showing plenty of free storage space on all partitions and Windows 10 version 20H2 installed and fully up to date, troubleshooting a computer when Windows is not up to date is a waste of time.

Is the system over clocked at all?
Hi,

I have not over clocked anything, so not in my knowledge

I see that you have CCleaner installed depending on what you have it clean could have removed a file or a reference to a file.

From what I have been reading on that monitoring software it is buggy and not accurate.

Here are just a few links yes the dates are old so take it with a grain of salt

Lets try running System File Checker

Ah can explain it!

So i runned System File Checker providing logs incase you need them, first sfc /scannow found an corrupt files and successfully repaired them and no integrity next 2 scans

So i didn't have time to play much, but 40min in Hunter COTW are longer then the last times i've tried, i have to get back tomorrow when i can try a longer run,

And if i freeze i will try clean boot

Or actually, ill leave the game runnin during night, that would guarantee a freeze

Can't find edit option on phone so sorry for double post!

So I will do clean boot today, but I guess this will take quite a wile tho do since I need to play for a while to see if I still have this error, so please be patient with me!! Or maybe it is a good idea to maybe play a few times and get an reference time it takes for the computer to freeze and then make a clean restart so I know roughly how long I can/need to test
