Computer extremely slow - can't find the reason

Hi everyone,

First of all, here's my config :

- Windows 7 Ultimate 64bits
- i7 4790k
- 16 go Ram DDR3
- Asus Q87M-E
- SSD 128Go
- SSD 1to
- HDD 1to

I need help because my computer has been extremely slow these past 10 days. It happened overnight and I don't know the reason why. I use this computer for making music and retouch photographs, it is not connected to the internet. I can't use it anymore. The boot is really slow and I stay stuck on the windows screen for like 10 minutes. Then launching Reaper takes approximately 30 minutes (5 minutes before the problem occured) and it takes another 30 minutes to load the project I'm working on with a dozen crashes in between. The slowness is the same when I use Lightroom, so it is a global thing. Here's what I've already tried :

- Virus detection
- CHKDSK
- RAM problems detection
- Windows 7 update
- I freed up some disk space (20go / 117go, it's not a lot but it's always worked that way and sometimes with even less space)
- the fans are running well
- Windows troobleshooting

When I launch it, Reaper is the only program running, I've verified it with Task Manager, and the memory peaks at 20% and the CPU at 10%.

One last thing, yesterday I tried to reinstall a plugin which reaper mysteriously couldn't find anymore, but it was impossible because of an "i/o device error". I tried to install it on both my SSDs but the problem was the same in each case. I read that it could signify an issue with the disk, but how come CHKDSK didn't find anything ?

Anyway, I'v tried several things and I really don't understand what's going on. I'm far from being a computer expert so I'd be grateful if I could have some advice.
Thanks a lot !

Rémi
