Changed ram speed. Pc started restarting itself.

Had a bit of issues with my ram only getting half picked up so I set that up and changed the speeds because default was like 2133 on my 3200. Noticed in the task manager the speed went back to default for some reason after a year or so of having my new setup and now it restarts after random amounts of time if its set to 3200. Wondering if its possibly a bios issue?

AMD Ryzen 5600x
32GB 3200 MHZ G.Skill tridentz RBG
X570 Aorus elite wifi MOBO
Seasonic 850+50
Aorus 3070 TI

PSU is the only piece not 1.5 years or younger probably about 5 or so years now.

Try restoring the MBs default factory settings in the BIOS, they are sometimes listed as one of the following " factory defaults" "most stable" or on newer boards "optimized" please note that if you have both the "most stable" and the "optimized" options in the BIOS you should choose the most stable" option as in this instance the "optimized" settings are a form of overclocking that can cause instability.

Save the new settings, exit the BIOS, restart the computer, test by using the computer as you normally would, post back with an update once you have done this.

Tried that ran Prime95. Restarted after about 10 minutes. I assume I was supposed to turn it back up to 3600 right since its stable with 2300? Restarted again almost faster then I could update so things for sure got worse.

So you don't know how to fix it in other words. Lol tf does it matter if i ran prime. Useless garbage forum. Literally restarted 5 minutes after just sitting on desktop so literally has zero to do with anything. Someone just a little power hungry apparently.

Your thread title says that the PC keeps on restarting itself which a bad RAM setting would cause.

You were asked to restore the default BIOS settings which in the process would clear any bad settings.

You were not asked to run Prime or to OC the RAM again.

Short version, you made your computer unstable.

Suggest that you put your hand in your pocket and pay someone to fix this as you clearly have problems doing as is asked..
