Solved Can't change default font in Word

Just started using Edge browser with Microsoft 365 included. Trying to change my default font in Word but there is no default font launcher button on the ribbon as there should be. Is there a workaround for this? Thanks.

See if any of these helps at all.

Hi Rustys, thanks so much for your helpful links. These are all perfect for previous versions of Word but unfortunately not for this new incarnation. The problem seems to be there is no Font Dialog Box Launcher at the foot of the Font options on the ribbon. The launchers are present in Paragraphs and Styles but not visible in Fonts. Anyway, thanks for trying to help me out, much appreciated.

After much searching I found this on the MS answers...

KathySt J, thank you for your reply and screenshot. I can see from your screenshot that you have the web-based version of Word which has basic features unlike the desktop version. The web version does not have a Fonts dialog like the one in the desktop version. Also, you may find that there is also no Font item in the right-click menu

So much to my amazement the answer is you cannot set the default font on the web version of Word. Hope this helps others.
