Ok, I created a bootable USB using that link and it worked. So, maybe the iso I was using for the other one isn't good...or maybe Rufus and iso2disc aren't good?

I've had to deal with this a few times lately. Best is to google ur model # for specific instructions. Likely it will come down to finding the magic combination of bios/UEFI settings.
