Hi everyone,

I'm relatively new to the PC world, and have a mid-tier gaming PC. My power supply makes a kind of buzzing noise, almost like a steady electrical buzz.

I don't really know what to do and the only thing that seems to help is taking the side panel off the tower and pushing on the PSU from the side. That will completely silence it, but when I release the pressure it just starts buzzing again.

Any ideas?

Thanks in advance.

Welcome to PCHF birdie,

Could be a fan bearing on its way out but at the same time it could be an electrical component that is about to go pop.

What is the brand and model name or number of the PSU and how old is it.
