Blinking (mains) power light on laptop

For unknown reasons the power light on my Asus mini-laptop has started blinking (green and orange). It's definitely the power light because it goes off whenever I remove the power cable connector (which I do only when the laptop is turned off). The laptop itself nonetheless continues to function properly, otherwise I wouldn't be able to post this query. Likewise the latop's battery is still fully charged. . . leastways according to Control Panel. So what could be the likely cause? Should I be concerned?

The laptop runs on Windows 10 Home Edition.

Many thanks

Please look around the laptop and grab a model number for us, depending on the particular make it could simply be an indicator light.

You say has started, what did it do before this change, and when did you notice it?

Incredibly, there's not even a whisper of a clue anywhere on the laptop itself indicating its model. All I know is that I bought it new in 2015 and that it has a 11.6 inch screen and that it was called a netbook. I do recall the numerals "200" cited somewhere in its technical nomenclature. I apologise for my lack of precision here. I first noticed the problem on the 24/12/23 - the date I posted my query. I suspect it began fairly recently, possibly just a few days ago. Again, the battery is fine.

Otherwise, treating the problem as a generic issue, what are the more common reasons for a power light to start blinking on a laptop? A faulty LED indicator light, nothing more that that?
