Solved 1060 6gb

I have started playing MW3 (mainly zombies), and I found my GPU runs at 98% and CPU runs at 89%. It seems my Nvidia 1060 6gb is the minimum I need to play. I would like to change the GPU but there are so many to choose from and I don't know which ones are compatible with my system. I have:
I-5 8600k
MSI z370m gaming pro AC (not carbon)
Nvidia GTX 1060 6gb
16gb RAM installed
Cooler master 500 lite Pu
Cooler master master case 5.
I have 300€ to spend and if need be at a pinch change the power unit to accommodate the new GPU. I am not interested in playing at 4k, 1080 is good with decent FPS. Any suggestions would be appreciated 👍

The motherboard has PCIe gen 3 lanes, so get a graphics card that supports PCIe gen 3. A GPU that supports PCIe gen 4 will work with the motherboard but you won't be getting the most performance unless the motherboard is also gen 4 if that makes sense. Basically this tip can save you some money by opting for a worse card.

Then the other consideration is power consumption. Add up all the watts you are currently using, then add the additional wattage from the new card to see if you need another power supply. Power supplies need some overhead and are more power efficient also when they are only using around 60% of their rated wattage, so take your number and multiply it by 1.5 to see roughly how much power you should have.

If you are worried about compatibility, I recommend going to PC Part Picker, selecting the motherboard you have, then see what options they have for graphics cards: https://pcpartpicker.com/list/

Basically anything should be fine though theoretically. Let us know if you have questions regarding specs.

I have narrowed it down to:
Asus dual and rx7600 V2 oc edition.

Powercolor Radeon rx7600 fighter.

MSI GeForce rtx3050 ventus 2x xs.

Asus dual Nvidia GeForce rtx 3050 V2 oc edition.

Psu:
Corsair rm750x
Be quiet pure power 11 750w.
Are these good choices?

If they fit your budget, then they look good to me. Looking at specs, the Radeon card may be marginally better. Also Corsair tends to be a more reliable brand name.

Thank you, I also have another question, if you are able to answer. Is it a problem that my CPU runs at 80-89% and the gpu runs at 98% when I play mw3? A friend told me I ought to change the CPU. If I have to change all three components it's a new pc. I might as well buy a ps5.

It's not great but it should be okay. It may be better to try to minimize the CPU usage by closing all unrelated windows/programs as you play the game, but note I don't know the hardware requirements for this game.

Min specs:
Cpu i3-6100
Ram 8 GB
Video card Nvidia GeForce GTX 960
Video Memory 2gb

Recommended specs:
I7-6700k
Ram 16gb
Video card Nvidia GeForce GTX 1080ti/ rtx 3060 or and Radeon RX 6600
Video Memory 8 gb

The CPU and GPU are fairly independent so I wouldn't expect much of a difference, but if it does increase CPU utilization, then there are work arounds such as not having background programs open or adding a cap to FPS so that the GPU is doing less work and is giving more breathing room to the CPU, but maybe others can pitch in with their experiences. It's a good question regarding bottlenecking. As for performance, yes, the game will run better with that GPU

I had capped the FPS at 60. Tonight I put everything high still capped and was getting 98% gpu and 46% CPU but was only getting 30fps.. these in-game graphic settings are difficult to navigate

Hi, sorry I was away yesterday. 100% GPU util is fine, you just don't want CPU to be at 100%. That and also you want proper cooling, so clean your PC if you haven't done so in a while.

As for the framerate, it looks like there are a few threads online about others facing the same issue, and it may be a matter of adjusting the settings a bit more.
I was not able to get a concrete answer though and I don't have MW3 so I can't test anything myself. Hope that helps.
