Hi,
I recently built a new PC with an i5 12400, RTX 4060 on a msi b760-p ddr4 motherboard.
I tried running a few other games like forza, overwatch, cs2 and games ran smooth as they should.
When i launched into a fortnite game my fps was spiking from 30 to 180 and the cpu usage was 100%. All game settings are on low with dx11 1080p.
I seen that these specs should get me like 180- 400 with no problem.
does someone know what could be the problem?

If the computer is a desktop can you post the brand and model name or number of the power supply (PSU).

Download then run Speccy ( free ) and post the resultant url for us, details here, this will provide us with information about your computer hardware + any software that you have installed that may explain the present issue/s.

To publish a Speccy profile to the Web:

In Speccy, click File, and then click Publish Snapshot.

In the Publish Snapshot dialog box, click Yes to enable Speccy to proceed.

Speccy publishes the profile and displays a second Publish Snapshot. You can open the URL in your default browser, copy it to the clipboard, or close the dialog box.

Not the best of PSUs I`m afraid as that particular range is known to have issues, the 1000W version was rated as – Tier C • Low-end and the 850W rated as – Tier F • Replace immediately which is real poor,

Can you tell us what the below says please;

Power Profile
Active power scheme: מאוזן

There are a couple of things going on in Speccy but because you are only having issues with Fortnite I will only mention the one thing for now.

You need to enable XMP as the RAM is causing a bottleneck.

This particular game being so popular is known to have such issues due to the load on the games servers etc, have you checked the Epic Fortnite FPS issues info here

It means:
Power Profile
Active power scheme:
מאוזן (=balanced)

i understand, ill enable xmp and ill check if something is different i know that fortnite fps isnt good for everyone recently.
