Solved 1. After Shutdown or Sleep. 2. Turn on, PC won't boot until Shut Down again to enter BIOS

Hi everyone and Happy Holidays,

For 4 or 5 days now I have this problem where if I turn Off and On the PC the system simply doesn't want to load Windows 10, both mouse and keyboard turn off than gets stuck in (TUF Gaming logo loading animation) until monitor enters Power Saving Mode.

So all I can do in this case is turn off the PC from button then turn back on.

After turn on the PC forces me to press F1 to go BIOS, after I save and exit BIOS and PC reaches the (TUF Gaming logo animation) the system chooses btw these 4 options:

1. stay a bit more in (TUF Gaming logo animation) and load Windows 10 without any problems, all good.
2. Load Windows 10 without any problems, all good.
3. Give a blue screen of death (probably coz was forces shut down)
4. Starts automatics repair (probably coz was forces shut down)
Sometimes I need to repeat this turn On and Off until works.

I tried to avoid this boot problem by placing the PC in Sleep Mode (after finish work) but if I try to wake it up it simply turns on the Keyboard and Mouse for a little but then closes, the monitor as well enters in Power Saving Mode/not turns On.

I bought this new mainboard and video card last year December, same for the MB HDD (FireCuda 530 series).
Just today after checking if dust is the problem I noticed that I forgot to remove the plastics from the back of the mainboard metallic hood where MB HDD goes, but for 1 had no dificulties.


I hope that somebody can help me with this problem, thank you very much for your time!

Can you post the brand and model name or number of the power supply (PSU).

Download then run Speccy ( free ) and post the resultant url for us, details here, this will provide us with information about your computer hardware + any software that you have installed that may explain the present issue/s.

To publish a Speccy profile to the Web:

In Speccy, click File, and then click Publish Snapshot.

In the Publish Snapshot dialog box, click Yes to enable Speccy to proceed.

Speccy publishes the profile and displays a second Publish Snapshot. You can open the URL in your default browser, copy it to the clipboard, or close the dialog box.

As a note of this morning after opening the PC.
a. after reaching the TUF Gaming logo it staid there thinking,
b. (TUF Gaming loading animation) started for a bit
c. the mouse and keyboard turned LED's off
d. blue screen of death saying an error encountered and pc will restart

After the PC restarted:
a. Entered directly in BIOS
b. I saved and exit BIOS
c. Entered directly in BIOS
d. I saved and exit BIOS
e. Entered directly in BIOS
f. I saved and exit BIOS
g. Entered directly in BIOS
h. I saved and exit BIOS
i. Loaded windows, all good


The most recent hardware installed on 4 December 2023:

You have a few things going on there but the weak PSU is a danger to the PC and possibly yourself if it goes bang.

There is one thing that is possibly worse than using a known poor quality brand of PSU and that is using one that is unheard of, for brands of PSU to trust and brands to avoid please refer to the links in my sig, any Gold efficiency rated PSU that does not have a minimum of a seven year warranty is not the best of quality and for high end rig like yours you want at least ten.

A minimum of an 850W PSU is recommended for a stock ASUS RTX4090 but due to you having so many storage devices + additional screens a minimum of a 1000W Gold efficiency rated PSU is required, recommended brands are the Corsair RM range, EVGA, Seasonic and SuperFlower

Which power supply do you need?

Thank you for the kind support.

Today I decided to remove pieces one by one to see what could cause this. What seems fixed the problem was by removing the M2 HDD (the FireCuda 530 series) and adding my old SSD HDD back, formatting and installing the windows.

It seems now windows load every time without any problem, and sleep mode works as well.

About the PSU, I am currently using over 13 RGB fans as well. It seems the 850w was enough for all but I will definitely look into a more powerful one.
Could you please tell me if CORSAIR HX1200 1200W PC [80PLUS PLATINUM] RTX4090/4080 is a good choice?

I will try to format the M2 and reinstall windows to see if this fixes the problem, and get back with more information. Thank you again for your precious time!

Trust me this is pure coincidence and you have four or five more pressing concerns, the junk PSU is just the most dangerous as when not if it pops it could take out all of your hardware.

The Corsair is a great choice of PSU, not sure what the cost of it is but an alternative for price comparison is the SUPERFLOWER LEADEX PLATINUM SE1200W Full Modular 80PLUS Platinum Certified High-End 1200W Power Supply

I took and installed the CORSAIR HX1200 1200W PC, although this was not the issue.

It seems somehow my Windows had problems and repair/restore did not worked.
I did a surface test of the M.2 HDD to find had no problem. Attached pic.

I formatted, reinstalled windows and now everything runs as it should.

Thank you for all the help, the problem is now solved!

Sorry but as twice previously stated the previous PSU was not only too weak it was also outright dangerous.

Your Seagate FireCuda 530 boot drive is one of only two storage devices out of the five that you have that is not in trouble and that is how we know that it was not the cause of the problem/s, we will however as advised mark your thread as solved.
