    Hi, Fixed it. For anyone else having problems with their microphone instantly being muted by Windows: Go into your sound settings/recording settings/properties/levels - make sure that your mic hasn't been turned off Many thanks.

    Hi, Thank you for your response. I have tried your suggestions, the mute button remains lit. This is strange as I've not changed any settings on my PC and the headset works perfectly fine on another machine. Not sure what I can do. Thanks for looking anyhow.

    Hi, Installed the driver and reset the PC. Same result, wallpaper disappears and is replaced by black. Thing is, I went back to one of the default PC wallpapers and the issue is gone!     Hi, I've done that, I let it scan the PC and allowed it to shutdown at the end. After the PC booted back up I created a new folder on the desktop...and the wallpaper went black again :( Sorry.

    Getting this when I try and run the code: C:\WINDOWS\system32>REG ADD "Computer\HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Policies\Microsoft\Windows\DriverSearching" /v "SearchOrderConfig" /t REG_DWORD /d 0 /f ERROR: Invalid key name. Type "REG ADD /?" for usage.
