Thank you Rustys. The problem is not with the password however - I know the password to my old email address but once again I can't remember ever using it on my laptop. Before this happened, the login screen always showed my username/nickname Noah, I've never had to login with an email address...- Dylanguss

Hello everyone, Yesterday I accidentally turned off my fairly new laptop via the power button on the keyboard (I thought it would go to sleep) and when I turned it on this morning, it seemed to have crashed.
