C disk filling up by itself

I'm really sorry I haven't replied yet. I have too much going on lately and thought that I'd get back to you at least this last weekend but now I'm not sure when I'll have time to apply all the suggestions to see if they work. So I don't know if you want to close this thread and then I'd ask for...

C disk filling up by itself

Thank you for your post. It's a personal laptop. I'm not sure what to do with the FirewallRules and 2 other links :)? Is the help provided only if it's a work computer?

C disk filling up by itself

A lot of things to work on :). I'll answer the first part of your post for now and later will try to go through everything related to the memory in use. So, the answer to the first 3 questions is no. As to gaming, I do play games but they aren't heavy ones like GTA for instance. E.g., the last...

C disk filling up by itself

Thank you. Tbh, it never really stopped, because it kept filling the disk as before. The difference is that every time I restarted my laptop, it regained the space that was filled up. Now, I still can't get back some 10-12 GB. I didn't have time to run CC cleaner because of some programs I...

C disk filling up by itself

Yes, sorry, I had quite a complicated week, so I couldn't get back here, although I saw your response. For some time the amount of free space in the C disk stayed the same, and now I see that I have lost some 3 GB again. There aren't any new files, I haven't downloaded anything new either.

C disk filling up by itself

Wow, your site was down, so I'm glad you're back. I launched Indexing Options, it said that nothing was happening, nevertheless I left it for approx. 4 hours and still nothing happened.

C disk filling up by itself

Right now I can't transfer these files but will as soon as I can. Nevertheless, I tried running Indexing Options but when I hit Rebuild button, it says that indexing is not running.

C disk filling up by itself

Thank you for the suggestion. I'm using Windows 10. If you say that there are some problems with Windows only recently, I'm not sure that this could be the issue, because I've been having this problem with the C disk filling up by itself for some time now. It's just that lately I had an...

C disk filling up by itself

There's the image you asked for. Actually I remember that I happen to scan these folders with WizTree not that long ago and went through them myself in order to see if there were any suspicious files, but I didn't find any and lately didn't add any new files there either.

C disk filling up by itself

I don't believe I have any storage software running, I haven't ever activated any, unless it was activated at the moment I started using my laptop right after purchasing it. I don't have an iPhone. It's only me using my laptop. I hope it helps.

C disk filling up by itself

Thank you everybody, I'll respond to all the suggestions in this post. I don't have any drive enabled for File History, so this doesn't seem to be the problem. I'm not using Chrome. I turned off hibernation and gained 9 GB of space, though there are still 14 GB that should be free. I guess I...

C disk filling up by itself

Hi, I'm having an issue with my C disk filling up by itself. Lately, it went from 154 GB to 131 GB. I don't know if that might be a virus or something else, I don't think I have visited websites containing viruses lately, but I have an impression that it has also started to affect my WiFi...

Have to reconnect my mouse every time I start up my computer

I mean this thread. I just saw that the other one is already closed.

Have to reconnect my mouse every time I start up my computer

None taken :) Well, then if there's nothing else to do to find the source of the problem, as well as WiFi working fine, at least until now, I guess we can close both posts.

Have to reconnect my mouse every time I start up my computer

I'm not just browsing internet, I'm also using my files while working on my laptop, so if I can't use them because they are encrypted, I can't work in Linux. I can test my mouse only at the moment when I turn on my laptop, that is, when I get to the window where it demands the usual 4 digit...

Have to reconnect my mouse every time I start up my computer

I'm not sure how bit locker works, at least I have never used or installed it. As to the WiFi, to be able to test it, it takes time, because previously it disconnected maybe once per day and as Linux doesn't properly function on my laptop, I can't work using it. So I'm not sure how else I can...

Have to reconnect my mouse every time I start up my computer

I got to the part On This Computer in Ubuntu where 3 options appear: Computer 487 GB Encrypted RESTORE I cannot open 487 GB Encrypted because I don't know what password is needed, I tried the 4 digit laptop login password but it doesn't work. Also, while trying to boot from USB stick, if I...

    WiFi disconnecting occasionally

Well, unfortunately it happened again yesterday, though everything was ok today.

Have to reconnect my mouse every time I start up my computer

Thank you for the instructions. As I have never done it before, I'd like to know if there is a risk of losing any data because I don't have an empty external hard drive right now and I don't want to save any data on my Microsoft account/cloud?

    WiFi disconnecting occasionally

Thank you, I did it, so is there anything else I should do?
