    Asus Vivobook e1504fa, has a type -a on both sides, and a type -c on the same side as the affected usb-a port. I think the alone type-a is a usb 2, but I am not sure. That alone type-a does not have that problem. Type-c does not show any abnormalities either.

    The laptop is two months old. And it is under warranty. But i didn't want to take it to the service center yet. The behavior was kind of interesting as well. Is it possible that the USB port is partially damaged?

    Greetings Ladies and gentlemen, i have been having trouble with my laptop (Vivobook E1504FA) USB-A 3 port for a month. The mentioned USB port can provide power; but can only recognize an external SSD connected via USB-B cable. it opens the SSD and transfers files without any problems; but fails...
