Solved BSOD when connecting to wifi

I have fiber internet, would a powerline adapter help the consistency and keep my speeds high?

Solved BSOD when connecting to wifi

I'm exactly sure how to disable Wake on Lan with my adapter because the steps going into configuring the adapter were different, as my adapter doesn't have a wake on magic packet option to click on and disable. Other than that, my computer hasn't crashed all week. There's been a couple times...

Solved BSOD when connecting to wifi

So far so good. I disabled wake on lan, and I'll check out those other two options if anything goes south in the future.

Solved BSOD when connecting to wifi

Here's the newest dump files. I also messed around a bit with switching my router settings from 2.4 to 5GHz, but I couldn't find anywhere even distinguishing between the two frequencies. I did figure out my dongle does support 5GHz, as it has an a and ac following the 802.11, along with b, g...

Solved BSOD when connecting to wifi

I got it connected again and I'm not seeing that rtwlanu.sys driver through everything search, though the adapter title in device manager is still TP-Link Wireless USB Adapter.

Solved BSOD when connecting to wifi

What I get after deleting the driver and uninstalling it in device manager: it won't show any available networks. In device manager, the new dongle device I just un-installed in safe mode, TP-Link Wireless USB adaptor, is there again with a yellow caution ( ⚠️ ) triangle sign. I'm not sure how...

Solved BSOD when connecting to wifi

I had another crash while I was away from my desk, but I confirmed it is still the dongle. Crashes when it is plugged in and detects networks.

Solved BSOD when connecting to wifi

So far so good. Connection is holding steady.

Solved BSOD when connecting to wifi

Okay, it connected successfully. Now we'll see if my internet drops and I get blue screened again. Probably in the next 10-30 minutes, as that's how it's been before. Not jumping the gun this time!

Solved BSOD when connecting to wifi

I can't right-click on the wireless adaptor device cause it needs to be plugged in to see it in device manager and my PC crashes when I plug in the adaptor. PC still crashes in another user's account, as well.

Solved BSOD when connecting to wifi

Unfortunately not, crashed right as the dongle was plugged in again.

Solved BSOD when connecting to wifi

Okay after installing the driver, the second any networks show up in the Taskbar tab, I crash. Try the DDU program next?

Solved BSOD when connecting to wifi

Yes, I will install that driver. What confuses me about this is I've never installed drivers that come with dongles before and they always seemed to work fine.

Solved BSOD when connecting to wifi

I was able to delete that driver and I can plug in my dongle without my PC crashing, though no networks show up in the available networks tab in the taskbar. I installed DDU as well, how would I go about fixing that driver? Clean and restart button at the top?
