I have been working on a waking from hibernation problem in another thread. The problem is largely solved but it is obvious I need more RAM (I have 6GB). What type of RAM do I need for an HP Pavillion x360 m3-uloldx running Win10 and 3-5 open programs? If I can upgrade & install for less than $75 it will be worth it to me.

75 US dollars is 36.000 ₸ in my local currency.

That will get you roughly 32GB of laptop SO-DIMM memory (used) or easily DIMM desktop.
If you want you can sell yours RAM and buy new, or find same model of your RAM and add to existing one.
 
For extra assuredness, check out the Quality Vendors List on the HP website for your Pavillion.
That will list all the memory that has been checked to be compatible.
