I have a 32" LG Ultra Gear 1080p monitor and am using windows 11. i changed my resolution on the pc to 1440 and naturally, the image shrunk. after changing the resolution back to 1920x1080, the image remained shrunken unless i turn on freesync. With freesync on the image fills the screen as it used to, but now if I turn it off the image is decreased to about half my screen size. Ive reset the settings on the monitor, changed the resolution of the monitor, changed the resolution in windows settings, restarted the computer, unplugged and reset the monitor several times but no matter what i do i cant get the image to fill the screen unless i turn on freesync, and i dont want freesync on while gaming. im stumped and cant figure out wtf is going on.

Take a look at the scaling settings on the monitor. Choose Full screen or 16:9

Look at the scaling settings in Windows make sure it is 100%

Finally, look in your GPU drivers settings for any scaling settings or Freesync toggles.
