HDD and SSDs Not Showing Up (UPDATED)

No, that was the old PC. The one I am currently using is in perfect working order. I have confirmed that the salvaged SSD from the original PC is fried. What I am currently experiencing is the new PC, with a freshly installed Windows 10 oem, is "losing" the newly purchased SSD if it goes...

HDD and SSDs Not Showing Up (UPDATED)

Ok, so this issue is NOT resolved. I purchased and installed a Kingston 480gb SSD. I initialized it and followed all the proper steps to do so. Like the HDD, Windows 10 is treating this newly installed SSD as removable storage. I woke up the computer from sleep this morning, only to...

HDD and SSDs Not Showing Up (UPDATED)

That's what I figured as well. It's not a big deal in the long run...I salvaged what I needed off of it (documents and family pics) so if it's just better to junk it, i'll go ahead and do that.

HDD and SSDs Not Showing Up (UPDATED)

I figured as much, but my main concern at this point is finding out why the old HDD keeps getting "lost" in the new PC.

HDD and SSDs Not Showing Up (UPDATED)

Blown power supply coupled with loud pop, sparks and wisp of smoke. I have no idea if there are other dead parts. I would assume the MoBo, but when a new power supply was put into the old computer, the green light on the MoBo came on. I would assume it wouldn't have if it were blown. I...

HDD and SSDs Not Showing Up (UPDATED)

Thank you @vger. Update to situation: SSD is fried...likely destroyed when the old PC power surged. I've tested it on an external boot dock and another computer and it does not come up on anything. Problem with the HDD is that Windows seems to be treating it as removable storage, like a...

HDD and SSDs Not Showing Up (UPDATED)

UPDATE 4/8/2019 - SEE BELOW Current Situation: I inherited a computer from my friend, who recently moved out of the country. I wiped the data and hard drives, and did a fresh install of Windows 10 with a brand new OEM key. Everything is working great! However, there is an issue with and SSD...

Overheating Issue Resolved - Enter Yet Another Problem

FYI - there was no "validate" option available. When first opening the program I am prompted to update which takes me in an endless loop to a French site (again, I do not like putting programs on my computer in languages I don't understand) where I was unable to download any sort of new...

Overheating Issue Resolved - Enter Yet Another Problem

Is there additional information needed? Still waiting on recommendation for uploading Sysnative info due to forum rejecting file as too large.

Overheating Issue Resolved - Enter Yet Another Problem

Danger: Wall of Text Incoming! SysNative cannot be posted as attachment. I receive an error message telling me the file is too large to attach to the forum. Is there an alternative method? Hope this information helps. Computer is just unusable due to frequency of BSOD. If it looks like...

Overheating Issue Resolved - Enter Yet Another Problem

Sorry. Recovery after my surgery + catching up at work = very little time to run scans on computer that barely works anymore. Info to follow in next post.

Overheating Issue Resolved - Enter Yet Another Problem

Let me see if I can get it into safe mode since it seems to work best in that state, and run the scans again.

Overheating Issue Resolved - Enter Yet Another Problem

Right. The same information requested in post 43 is already posted in post 35, because that same information was requested of me in post 32. I did not hear back from anyone after that last request. I've also been mostly unable to use the computer since about that time. Post 35 contains...

Overheating Issue Resolved - Enter Yet Another Problem

Sorry for the delay. I have all of the requested information posted in Post #35. I have not used the computer since posting that information as it has become borderline unusable anyway, so nothing will have changed.
