    Solved H115i fail, i7 Temps at 100*C

If you have a local computer shop, you could buy an air cooler for the time being. Or Amazon with 2 day delivery.

    Hard drive issue

IIRC, Dell uses a "recovery partition" on their HD. I'd ask Dell.

    Solved H115i fail, i7 Temps at 100*C

It's not unheard of to have brand new parts fail, DOA PSUs, GPUs, etc. The point of my post was to raise the possibility of returning the Corsair cooler.

eVO 960 failure? or Mother board ASUS deluxe ii m.2 Port?

How old is the M.2? I'd be thinking about a warranty exchange.

    Solved H115i fail, i7 Temps at 100*C

Pardon my two cents, how long ago was this build. I would suspect a faulty Cooler, and if it is still under warranty I'd return it.

    Solved New PSU problem

Pardon my two cents, but it might be worthwhile to download Speccy (free) - piriform.com and look at the temps under load. 70C is pretty warm. If your machine shuts down after 1-2hrs of heavy usage, it sounds like inadequate cooling.

eVO 960 failure? or Mother board ASUS deluxe ii m.2 Port?

matterboy, I am running an EVO 960 ssd for my windows7 O/S. And I can tell you (learned the hard way) that the M.2 requires it's own set of drivers. What version of Windows are you using please?

Ray, looks like you missed my question about your install disks being certifiable? Your copies are not.

    Placement of shortcuts on desktop

This situation happens most frequently when your monitor resolution is set for something other than it's native setting and video drivers are updated.

    New HDD can't load windows

Win 7 on a USB stick has to be configured as a boot device. I don't know much about linux but I think it's install drivers over-rides the BIOS boot order. If you set the optical drive as the first boot priority, put the Win 7 Home disk in the drive and reboot the machine.

    New HDD can't load windows

Ok, you need to check your BIOS and make the optical drive the first boot option. The default setting is first boot HDD. Unless the machine is set to look first at the optical drive Window will not load.

    New HDD can't load windows

NTFS is the correct format. Have you tried the advice that was offered on the other site?

    Placement of shortcuts on desktop

Hi Barry, I put related shortcuts in folders on the desk top and they don't move. Have you scanned your system for malware or the like?
