    I have tried using a different sata cable and I have checked the connections multiple times, I might look into buying a new sata cable though, thanks for getting back to me.

    Okay so I did get windows ten installed using a different method which seemed to work fine, and I ran the scan you asked me to run in cmd and here are the results, and it does say there are corrupted files

    Okay so it's been a few days and I got a new hhd, after I checked the connections of the old hard drive and everything else on the PC I received my new hard drive and reinstalled it replacing the old one. This has proven to be ineffective though because upon reinstalling windows ten it freezes...
