    Hi Phill, as far as I know it was a full factory reset as in ......settings.......update and security.......recovery..........reset this PC........remove everything

    Found nothing in BIOS related to "audio".....nothing to enable.......... I restored it to factory settings the other day and thats what caused the problem but I'll do it again if you think there was some sort of glitch the first time ......Im assuming a factory reset will restore the MB's...

    There is nothing listed for Realtek under sound, video and game controllers........there are 3 items listed as follows.......the "intel display audio" has the most recent drivers......the "NVIDIA high deffinition audio" has the most recent drivers....... the "audio device on high deffinition...

    Thank you, I downloaded/instaled the drivers for chipset and audio, the vga drivers gave an error message (your PC does not meet minimum standards) Still no sound, I'm still getting the same error saying nothing is plugged in.

    Yes, I have "show all files" selected, all it shows is Windows C, Recovery Image D, and disconnected network drive A (which is part of my anti ransomware tool). Going to try a different data cable port this morning.
