    I fixed the problem, turns out all I had to do was update my GPU driver😅. Sorry for wasting your guys' time on this; I should have checked this before thinking about doing anything else. Also I switched my RAM down to 3200 mHz and disabled XMP. Thanks for the help; this thread can be closed.

    Its a Corsair. I think the airflow is good; I have two 120mm corsair fans at the front for intake and a Noctua 120mm fan at the rear for exhaust. Pc is on the hardwood floor about 8 inches away from my wall.

    Maybe there is something wrong with the audio port on my motherboard since the 3.5mm jack on the front and rear don't work. I will try a USB mic to see if it works.

    Yeah, playback with the headsets was fine. The bar is green when I enabled the microphone, but further audio tests failed.

    Just checked the drivers -- they are up-to-date. The software I've used is Voice Recorder and You Tube (the voice search feature). I haven't tried USB or XLR.

    UPDATE: no issues over the past two days gaming and surfing the internet @ 120 Hz. I'm just going to leave it on this setting and not bother with 144. Thank you everyone for your help. This thread is concluded.

    Screen just blacked out again as I was browsing the internet with the updated GC driver @ 144 Hz. Going to try 120 Hz and see if the problem persists.
